Strengthening Capacities in Training and Research in Science, Engineering and Technology for Development in Africa.

ANSTI emphasizes the pooling of resources available in the region so as to provide quality training and research in various scientific disciplines. In order to achieve this objective, ANSTI is engaged in numerous activities which can be grouped into four programme areas: Training; Seminars & workshops; publications; and promotion of research.

UNESCO/ANSTI Diaspora Award 2010

UNESCO/ANSTI is inviting African scientists working in the Diaspora (outside Africa) to apply for the above award. The award is offered to scientists who wish to attend scientific thematic conferences and workshops in Africa. Students studying outside the African continent do NOT qualify. The award (Max $2500) will cover the cost of the air ticket, cost of accommodation and a subsistence amount for the duration of the conference.
